This boy Omonigho Abraham was attached by two dogs last
month in his residence in Lagos, he sustained severe injuries to his scalp, now
the father is crying out complaining of negligence in LASUTH (Lagos State
Teaching Hospital) even when the State Governor has ordered that all expense
will be borne by the State.
According to a report on Punch Newspaper, Mr. Odia , the
father of the boy said Doctors have not been coming to attend to his boy and
expressed anxiety over his condition as his head was giving off an offensive
odour.
The hospital Management has come out to refute the claim of
the boy’s father insisting that he was not abandoned, rather that the father
was taking advantage of his son’s condition to solicit for funds.
The blame game should be stopped, i don’t want anything to
happen to this innocent 4 year old, the earlier report claimed that Police and neighbors
were present while the boy was being attacked but none could rescue him until
his mother rushed to rescue him not minding the dog bites she received (mother’s
will be mother’s, always courageous), now the medical personnel’s are not doing
enough to save him. Why is Nigeria a terrible country? We find it difficult to
show love even to a poor innocent boy who is in severe pain, a country so
religious that every nook and cranny has numerous churches yet no Love, how did
we get to this point. People act with so much impunity.(sobs)
