Drinking while Pregnant "could become a criminal offence "

I just read from ITV that drinking during pregnancy could become a crime following the outcome of a current court case in the North West of England, where a Council is seeking criminal injuries compensation after a six year-old was left with growth problems caused by her mother’s alcohol consumption during pregnancy.

If the court of Appeal agrees the woman committed a crime, the British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BOAS) and British Rights claim it could pave way for pregnant women’s behavior to be criminalized.
The little girl was born with Foetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) which can cause growth and facial abnormalities and intellectual impairment.
This is quite unfair, it is very wrong for a pregnant mother to be consuming alcohol, if you don’t care please care about the life of the innocent child in your womb. Don’t let your irresponsible act affect the life of an innocent child
